WI Juniors at National PGA Junior Championship

The WPGA Junior Foundation had three junior boys and three girls play at the 42nd National Junior PGA Championship this past month. Abby Cavaiani, Mia Seeman and Taylor McCorkle competed on July 18-21 at The Country Club of St. Albans, Lewis and Clark Course. Abby Cavaiani make the cut in the 144 player field and finished T40. Cavaiani the Missouri State commit had rounds of 74-73-76-70. Abby continued her great play after the National Junior Championship as she just won the Morgan Stanley Tour Championship and the SentryWorld Classic events this past week. 

Piercen Hunt, Bennett Knapek and Lucas Heckmann just finished up at the boys championship on July 31- August 3 at The Country Club of St. Albans, Lewis and Clark Course. Arrowhead High School teammates Hunt and Knapek were both able to make the cut. Bennett finished T65. Piercen Hunt had a great event as he finished T14. He fired rounds of 72-70-72-69 to finish 5-under par.

The purpose of the WPGA Junior Foundation scholarship program is to assist graduating high school and college students in financing their college education. There are 2 separate scholarship forms. One is for graduating high school seniors and the other is for current college students. Please choose the appropriate one. In 2024, the WPGA Junior Foundation awarded 33 scholarships totaling $85,000. We anticipate awarding even more in 2025. All applications will be taken online. Please make sure you have your transcripts and letters of recommendations forms available to attach to your application online.
