At the “Development Your Skills” stage, juniors develop fundamental skills in structured and enjoyable environments at low cost. The stage encourages and motivates juniors to learn the game, enjoy the game, improve at their own pace, and be as competitive as each individual aspires. The below programs are great opportunities for the beginner or less experienced junior to further develop their skills.

PGA Junior League is a fun, social, and inclusive way for kids to learn how to play golf with their friends. Participants 13 and under wear numbered jerseys and play a team scramble with their friends against teams from other golf courses, similar to little league baseball. Click the link below or ask your local PGA Professional for more information on how to get signed up on their team!
The Par 3 Tour is the next step in the progression of a junior golfer interested in beginning competitive golf. The tour consists of 8 regular events and an Invitational event at the end of the season (Madison and Milwaukee). Age divisions are 7-9, 10-11, 12-13, 14-18 for boys and girls. Tee times start at 8:30 a.m. and are based on age division. We have Par 3 tours in Northeast, Milwaukee, Madison and Wisconsin Dells areas.
The WPGA Junior Foundation has added an Intermediate Tour. This tour is geared towards juniors who have aged out of the Future Tour (playing 9-holes) but are not quite ready for the Junior Tour (18-hole events for skilled players) and for those 10-12 year old's who want to try and play in an 18-hole tournament. This tour will play shorter yardages and we will modify tees so the Boys 14-15 will play from about 5,700 to 5,900 yards and younger boys and all girls will play around 5,000 or less yards. This tour is geared for players under the age of 15.
