WPGA Junior Championship

The PGA Junior Championship is our biggest junior event of the year. In 2013, the event was moved to Milwaukee at Brown Deer Park. In 2024, our PGA Junior Championship will be hosted by Brown Deer Park and Oakwood Park.

Brown Deer Park hosted a PGA Tour event from 1994-2009.


Juniors will play both courses in a two-day 36 hole event. Each Boy and Girl overall winner then qualifies for the national PGA Junior Championship. Both Boys and Girls National Championship will be on July 30-August 2, 2024 at Congressional Country Club in Bethesda, Maryland.

Dells Junior Championship

This 36-hole event is back on our schedule for year three. We have teamed up with Wild Rock GC & Trappers Turn to bring a top notch junior event to Wisconsin. American Family Insurance will be the event sponsor and will be on June 24-25, 2024

Sherri Steinhauer

The WPGA teamed up with the Bucket of Hope to have the Sherri Steinhauer girls only event back on the schedule for 2024. Join us for this 54-hole event at Blackhawk Country Club and Nakoma GC. Sherri Steinhauer: qualified for the LPGA Tour in 1986 and has been a fixture ever since. Her six victories include three majors: the 1992 de Maurier Ltd Classic and the Women’s British Open in 1998 and 1999. She played on the United States team in the Solheim Cup Matches three times and has passed the $4 million mark in career winnings.

SentryWorld Girls Only

This event has been canceled for the 2022 season as SentryWorld will be going under renovations to host the 43rd U.S. Senior Open Championship tournament in 2023.

College Showcase

The purpose of the College Showcase Tournament is to bring golf recruits and college coaches together. The WPGA Junior Foundation is proud to partner with the Coaches Association to help administer the event in 2023. The Showcase Tournament is open to all Wisconsin WIAA golfers (including classes of 2024 – 2028) and provides a unique opportunity to have their games evaluated by college golf coaches at every level. For the golf coaches, the Showcase Tournament allows them to efficiently recruit multiple golfers and focus their evaluations on specific players and golf skills that they feel are most important to their program.

Lake Arrowhead Invitational

Lake Arrowhead Invitational will be held on August 11-12, 2024. Invites for Lake Arrowhead will be based off the points list from the previous year and players can earn a spot by their play in 2024.

Notah Begay III

The WPGA has partnered up with the Notah Begay III to receive some qualifying spots for our juniors.

The Notah Begay III Jr. Golf National Championship Series (NB3 JGNC) is a 2-stage qualifying process culminating in a 54-hole National Championship that will air on Golf Channel during a 2-hour broadcast. The Series is open to all players. In 2023 players will qualify at the local level and then move onto the regional tournament. 

Players will be competing for the Qualifying Spots into the Minnesota Regional Qualifier on August 14-15 at Meadows at Mystic Lake in Prior Lake, MN!  Wisconsin players can earn an exemption into stage 2 by how they finish at the WPGA Junior Championship and Players Tour at Blackwolf Run.

Cup Matches

The 27th Annual Cup Matches will be played at TPC Wisconsin in Madison, WI on July 11-12, 2024. This annual event showcases 12 boys and 12 girls from Wisconsin against Team Minnesota in a Ryder Cup team-type event that started back in 1998.

PGA Jr. League

PGA Junior League Golf is a fun, social and inclusive opportunity for boys and girls, ages 17 and under, to learn and enjoy the game of golf from PGA members, apprentices, and LPGA members.

Drive, Chip and Putt

A joint initiative founded in 2013 by the Masters TournamentUnited States Golf Association and The PGA of America, Drive, Chip and Putt is a free nationwide junior golf development competition aimed at growing the game by focusing on the three fundamental skills employed in golf.


By tapping the creative and competitive spirit of girls and boys ages 7-15, Drive, Chip and Putt provides aspiring junior golfers an opportunity to play with their peers in qualifiers around the country. Participants who advance through local, sub-regional and regional qualifying in each age/gender category earn a place in the National Finals, which is conducted at Augusta National Golf Club the Sunday before the Masters Tournament and is broadcast live by Golf Channel.
