Not to be for Team Wisconsin
The 20th Annual Cup Matches concluded today at Troy Burne GC in Hudson, WI. This annual event showcases 12 boys and 12 girls from Wisconsin against Team Minnesota in a Ryder Cup team-type event that started back in 1998. Team MN led 7.5 to 4.5 after day one of four ball matches. Team Minnesota won 12 points during singles matches to Team Wisconsin's 12 to win the cup with a total of 19.6 - 16.5. This makes back to back wins for Team Minnesota. Team Wisconsin leads the overall series 12-8-1. Players are selected off the Player of the Year points list from the previous year.

The Junior Foundation would also like to thank some people for making this event great. A big thank you to the sales reps that donated tee gifts to each player. Thanks to Ted Robbins and Tom Cranwell for donating Titleist golf balls, gloves and hats, Ron McPherson from Antigua for donating the team golf shirts each day, and Ron Hurab for donating an RJ Shepherd umbrella and Devant towel to each player. These guys make this event a great experience for all players.

We would also like to thank the amazing staff at Troy Burne GC for making this event great. Thanks to Head PGA Professional Dave Tentis, Superintedent Mitch Fossy and Owner Gary Sauer for hosting us.
